Dilled Tuna Salad recipe

I love this tuna salad because it is very fresh and herbaceous. It has a lemony base dressing and lots of fresh dill. This is best served on a warm summer's day especially with a cold glass of sauvignon blanc. Makes 2 cups.

  • 2 can oil packed yellow fin tuna
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • juice of two lemons
  • 1/4 cup chopped dill, about 1 bunch
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 6 leaves butterhead lettuce, chopped

  1. In a medium bowl combine all the ingredients except the lettuce and mix thoroughly.

  2. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. Serve atop a bed of lettuce.
